Substitutes:

1
Note: You have selected a substitute pet.
The strategy might fail if you use it with this pet instead of the one the strategy creator intended.

The substitute finder looks for these criteria in relation to the original pet:
  • Same family
  • Has the required skills
  • Has the required stats (if specified)
  • Ignores specific breed requirements for the main pet, as breeds can be very different for substitutes

1 / 2

Low XP
At least one of the pets for this strategy require the use of a specific breed.
Not every strategy can be bullet proof. This is one of them. You might have to restart it, since there are some random elements that increase the risk of your pets failing. Don't blame them, please!
This strategy is using pets obtainable from the Wow Trading Card Game (TCG) or the auction house for potentially high sums of gold.
This strategy is using pets obtainable only from the WoW In-Game Shop for Battle.net Balance or real money.
You can use this strategy to carry a low level pet to give it experience.
Some instructions are more difficult to follow than others. That's exactly what you might find in this strategy!
Script
The strategy offers a Script that can be used with the Pet Battle Script addon. You can copy the script by clicking on the button to the left of the pets.
At least one pet in the strategy cannot be obtained anymore. If you have it, congrats!
A Strategy Curator found this strategy to be especially helpful and higlighted it with this tag to give it more exposure.

Scourged Whelping worked perfect in the 3rd slot. I have an H/H scourged whelping, so had to make sure i used an H/H unborn val'kyr too.

So, because I accidentally tried one of the strats (originally created by Ninety) for Mar'cuus on this battle, I can tell you it works with only one change in the script. xD
If you're too lazy to go to the other page, here's the set-up:

Mr. Bigglesworth (1,1,1)
Boneshard (1,1,1)
Sen'jin Fethish (2,2,1) OR Voodoo Figurine (2,2,x) (I used Voodoo Figurine)

Turn 1 Pass - your Boneshard is forced in
Turn 2 Blistering Cold
Turn 3 Chop
Turn 4 Pass - your Sen'jin Fetish is forced in
Turn 5 Wild Magic
Turn 6 Flame Breath
Turn 7 Pass - your Mr. Bigglesworth is forced in
Turn 8 Claw
Turn 9 Ice Barrier
Turn 10 Pass
Turn 11 Claw

You can substitute any of the DK Whelpling pets for the Voodoo figurine as well. I used Vilebrood Whelpling for the Plague Breath, as it didn't have a dmg variation like Flame Breath on the Bloodbrood Whelpling. My Frostbrood Whelpling wasn't leveled, but Frost Breath would likely work.

TL;DR Vilebrood Whelpling 1/2/1, Bloodbrood Whelpling 2/1/2, or Frostbrood Whelpling 2/1/2
Use Plague Breath/Flame Breath/Frost Breath in Turn 8.

You can replace Infected Squirrel with Macabre Marionette and use Dead Man's Party instead of Stampede.

Vahl wrote on 2017-09-15 13:22:25

All the above strats failed me, so I found one that worked:

Team:
Ghastly Kid (1, 2, 2)
Weebomination* (any, any, Corpse Explosion)
Macabre Marionette (any, any, 1)

Ghastly Kid:
- Ethereal -> Haunt

Weebomination:
- Corpse Explosion

Macabre Marionette:
- Dead Man's Party

If necessary: Dead Man's Party again, or clean up with Ghastly Kid's Hoof.

Modified TheRealLuft's undead + undead + beast strategy (here) into an all-undead team w/slightly adjusted rounds.
*H/H Infested Bear Cub would be better, and other Undead with Corpse Explosion MIGHT work, if substituted (list).

Instead of Voodoo Figurine, I used Scourged Whelpling's Tail Sweep.

Hannah wrote on 2017-09-08 02:35:06

Yep same here. I also used Creeping Fungus and then Stampede on Infected Squirrel. Scourged Whelp worked perfectly tho.

dragonheals12 wrote on 2017-09-22 04:00:05

Same! I also think it does more damage than flame breath.

Knocowt-ragnaros-eu wrote on 2017-10-17 10:10:06

worked first try!

Britt wrote on 2017-12-22 23:58:40

I had to use Frostwolf Ghostpup for third pet because my Scourgewhelp and Weebomination had higher HP than my Valk. Ghostpup with Ghostly Bite as finisher and I did it no problem on the first try!

Chrisski wrote on 2017-10-07 06:30:37

Worked 1st try and my Valk could've come in to finish it off if needed.

Musically-Proudmoore wrote on 2017-09-23 18:31:54

Macabre Marionette with Dead Man's Party is a perfect substitution in this strat if you dont have an Infected Squirrel at 25.

Schahmaar wrote on 2017-09-23 04:49:00

Weebomination with Corpse Explosion instead of Voodoo works too. As should any Undead with high enough health and one strong attack, cause it's the finisher.

Quintette wrote on 2017-09-23 07:47:26

Worked 1st time, although substituting the Weebomination with Corpse Explosion didn't exactly play out as planned. The Explosion left Blood with 107 HP which he healed up to 229. Fortunately my Valkyr still had a good health pool and managed to finish him off with a Shadow Slash combined with the ticks of damage from the Explosion.
