Substitutes:

Note: You have selected a substitute pet.
The strategy might fail if you use it with this pet instead of the one the strategy creator intended.

The substitute finder looks for these criteria in relation to the original pet:
  • Same family
  • Has the required skills
  • Has the required stats (if specified)
  • Ignores specific breed requirements for the main pet, as breeds can be very different for substitutes

This fight is a long fight, but it's always a win! 100%!
Your first pet (any fawn, I used Winter Reindeer) can practically solo the whole fight! You just need your second pet on the last enemy pet, you'll easily finish it off, so it doesn't matter what critter you use as third, because you most likely won't need it anyway.

Low XP
At least one of the pets for this strategy require the use of a specific breed.
Not every strategy can be bullet proof. This is one of them. You might have to restart it, since there are some random elements that increase the risk of your pets failing. Don't blame them, please!
This strategy is using pets obtainable from the Wow Trading Card Game (TCG) or the auction house for potentially high sums of gold.
This strategy is using pets obtainable only from the WoW In-Game Shop for Battle.net Balance or real money.
You can use this strategy to carry a low level pet to give it experience.
Some instructions are more difficult to follow than others. That's exactly what you might find in this strategy!
Script
The strategy offers a Script that can be used with the Pet Battle Script addon. You can copy the script by clicking on the button to the left of the pets.
At least one pet in the strategy cannot be obtained anymore. If you have it, congrats!
A Strategy Curator found this strategy to be especially helpful and higlighted it with this tag to give it more exposure.

I had both these pets plus another reindeer with the same abilities on standby. Only ended up needing the reindeer.

The Script breaks if you aren't specifically using Winter Reindeer and Gleamhoof Fawn. Here is an adjusted script that should work with any 2 pets that are running those 3 abilities (I haven't been able to test the second section because my first pet never died)

Tip, when making scripts and making conditions based on which pet is out, unless it is a 1/1 unique pet that can't be substituted because of a unique moveset, use the #1-3 parameter

if [self(#1).active]
use(Nature's Ward:574) [round = 1]
use(Stampede:163) [round = 2]
use(Headbutt:376) [self(#1).aura(Nature's Ward:820).exists]
use(Nature's Ward:574) [self(#1).aura(Nature's Ward:820).duration = 1]
use(Stampede:163)
change(#2) [self(#1).dead]
endif

if [self(#2).active]
use(Nature's Ward:574) [!self(#2).aura(Nature's Ward:820).exists]
use(Headbutt:376) [self(#2).aura(Nature's Ward:820).exists]
use(Stampede:163)
endif

change(#3) [self(#2).dead]
use(#1)

Thanks! Was wondering why OPs script didn't work.

Agreed, I lost using the linked script, wish I had seen this one sooner.

OP's script stopped working even when having the specific pets assigned. As soon as the gleamhoof fawn entered the fight, the script just stopped working.

I've put your script instead of my old one, sorry for the inconveniences people, hopefully it now works as intended.

I had Muck Slug as my first pet using Acidic Goo + Quicksand combo, then a Fawn as my second. Seemed to cut down the time of the fight a lot.

Agreed, the fight can be made a lot quicker by using a more aggressive pet first and then bringing in a deer to finish. Posting my version of a strat now that used Frenzied Mawrat.

Works perfect! Thank you! I used Gleamhoof Fawn H/S and Little Fawn H/B. I didn't even need the Little Fawn at all.

i see what you mean about this being a LONG fight, Dende, heh - mine went for 25 rounds; but the other half of your disclaimer is true as well - 100% win, with my Winter Reindeer almost soloing the whole fight; the only reason it didn't is cos Zola's Pounder exploded in the final round - but i already had it down to like 15% any, so...

GREAT strat!!!

Uludil wrote on 2021-06-07 14:37:23

So many faulty TD scripts. Doens't work without reindeer. The one posted below does not work either. Follow the steps instead

Kendyll

Reindeer soloed the whole fight and ended at 66% health! Thanks so much!

zaftig

wrote on 2021-03-02 04:55:52

It took 30 rounds, but Winter Reindeer soloed it. The only reason it died at all was because Pounder used Explode. Easy-peasy.

great strat, reindeer nearly solo'd, thank you :)

Scotlassie wrote on 2021-02-15 11:32:52

The Winter Reindeer solo'ed the fight and had lots of health left over at the end. Great strategy.

Hikari

wrote on 2021-02-14 05:37:40

Great strat, thanks! Took me 3 attempts because my pets were uncommon and poor, but I was lucky to stun 1st enemy pet before Winter Reindeer died, so it could kill 2nd enemy pet and my 3rd pet was not needed after all.
