A glimpse of Xu-Fu 2.0

PAGE UPDATE - BY ARANESH
Today I'm proud to announce a new section on wow-petguide.com: Tools!

Replacing the Home button, this new section will host a growing number of helping hands for anything pet related.
For the launch there are already two available, which I want to introduce briefly:

Pet Collection Viewer
One of the features coming with Xu-Fu 2.0 is a much better pet import. And while at it, I decided to spend some time in a nicer display of your pet collection. As it turns out, it's also a wonderful standalone tool! You can enter character details and will get a nice view of the pet collection with plenty of utility (that's currently missing from the armory *cough*) like a quick search and filters that can be combined any way you like.

Magpie
This amazing tool created by Morazor is not exactly new, but found a new home here. It offers plenty of utility around your pet collection and the auction house. For example it can tell you how lucrative your duplicate pets could be. Or you can have it check for bargains on one realm to sell for a profit on another. Or perhaps you want to set up an alert to notify you when a specific pet is available? This and more is easily done with Magpie :-)

Please go ahead and try them out. Write us what you think of them or if you run into any issues.

Or perhaps you have a good idea for another tool that you miss? Let us know!

One more question; will the new cageable pets be added to Magpie? So far I don't think it's possible to monitor them on the site...

Pretty sure they will be. The API where both Morazor and I are pulling the pet info from is not updated yet. It often takes a few days after a patch before the data is made available.

Gotcha. Thanks for the info :)

Magpie is amazing! I almost don't want word of this tool to get out XD

Hey, awesome site. Really happy with it :)

Two questions though;

I put in over 400 pets to track on my iPad and wanted to put them all in on my iMac also. Possibly also on my iPhone. Is there some way to export my data so I don't have to manually go through the long, long process again? It happened once before when I updated the Chrome app and lost all my data, and I really don't want to go through it all again.

Also, a minor thing; when I click on a pet's link to Warcraftpets, the pet's name will be in the Warcraftpets search field... but in Portuguese (I think), so I still then have to type in the name in English or it won't be found. The language of this site is just set to English, so that's not it.

Otherwise; AMAZING site. Thank you!

Hey Caliban! Thank you very much!
I forwarded your comments to Morazor :-) He'll look into it, but can't make any promises of course.

Thanks Aranesh :)

This is awesome. What does "Maximized" mean, though?

Aranesh

It means the pet is rare (blue) and level 25. Any ideas for a better word for it? I'm very happy for suggestions

Petos wrote on 2017-07-11 11:15:52

Oh, ok. Thanks! I spent a while trying to figure that out. Maybe if you give the term "Miximized" hover text saying "Rare + 25" or something like that it would be helpful. I tried to mouse over the term to see if it would explain :)

Good point! Tooltip added :-) Thank you!

Pet Magpie is amazing. I don't suppose I am missing a volume our sounds setting somewhere? I have it on in the background at work, and it shatters my eardrums when it updates every 5 mins. Either way, I love it!

Hey, thanks for the comment! I passed this on to the creator of Magpie. You can also mute a tab in your browser otherwise to save your hearing :D (Firefox: Click on the speaker symbol on the tab, Chrome: Right click the tab and "Mute tab")

With such a growing team, I'm very hopeful to see it all in action soon!

As a person who dual realms (a third one to come soon) and has somehow much gold on my secondary server, I can't stress enough how helpful the Magpie is. :)
