Substitutes:

Note: You have selected a substitute pet.
The strategy might fail if you use it with this pet instead of the one the strategy creator intended.

The substitute finder looks for these criteria in relation to the original pet:
  • Same family
  • Has the required skills
  • Has the required stats (if specified)
  • Ignores specific breed requirements for the main pet, as breeds can be very different for substitutes

Low XP
Breed
At least one of the pets for this strategy require the use of a specific breed.
Not every strategy can be bullet proof. This is one of them. You might have to restart it, since there are some random elements that increase the risk of your pets failing. Don't blame them, please!
This strategy is using pets obtainable from the Wow Trading Card Game (TCG) or the auction house for potentially high sums of gold.
This strategy is using pets obtainable only from the WoW In-Game Shop for Battle.net Balance or real money.
You can use this strategy to carry a low level pet to give it experience.
Some instructions are more difficult to follow than others. That's exactly what you might find in this strategy!
Script
The strategy offers a Script that can be used with the Pet Battle Script addon. You can copy the script by clicking on the button to the left of the pets.
At least one pet in the strategy cannot be obtained anymore. If you have it, congrats!

Super quick and easy 2-pet strategy. Found on Wowhead and slightly modified. Credits go to bruuja and AliceInAcidland.

1st pet: any 25 beast. You won't be needing it anyhow.
2nd pet: SS Zandalari Anklerender 2-2-2
3rd pet: Feline Familiar 2-x-x

Turn 1: pass (Anklerender is swapped in)
Turn 2: Primal Cry
Turn 3: Black Claw
Turn 4: Hunting Party (only 1 round and then Feline Familiar is swapped in)
Turn 5: Pounce
Turn 6: Pounce .... and Snozz is out for the counting!

This strategy worked without fail on 3 consecuttive tries and seems to completely negate any RNG issues. Sadly, I only have a SS and PP Anklerender so I cannot vouch for its effectiveness on a PS or PB breed. It will not work for the PP breed, as Primal Cry will not give you enough speed to go first after Snozz's Buried Treasure healing. Enjoy!

Zandalari Anklerender - 222

managed on the first try, although it was damn close

Ranjeb's youtube strat

Any beast first
Elder python 2 1 1
Zandalari Kneebiter 2 2 2

pass - python in -- sting - fang - pass -- kneebiter in - claw - hunting party - first pet back in and dots kill off snozz

1. Pass (anklerender swapped in)
2. Primal Cry
3. Black Claw

Worked in Sl, with my random pet taking 1 attack at the end, then delivering the final blow.

Madscientistcat wrote on 2017-10-25 10:44:07

I only have a P/P Anklerender so most of these didn't work for me so I put together a combo strategy from the comments. I think these are probably breed-specific, so I'll put what I used. There is the usual problem RNG crits of course, but this seemed fairly reliable for me.

Zandalari Anklerender P/P (2, 2, 2)
Temple Snake P/B (2, 1, 1)
Feline Familiar P/B (2, 2, 2)

Anklerender starts
1: pass, Snake is swapped in.
2: Hiss
3: Poison Fang
4: Burrow
5: Hiss
6: Poison Fang, then Feline Familiar is swapped in
7-9: Pounce x3 until Snozz dies.

Gamara wrote on 2017-11-01 19:01:01

Worked for me, although the kitten died and anklerender came in. Then the DOT was applied and killed Snozz.

caustickreature

wrote on 2017-11-25 00:11:03

stoppableforce wrote on 2017-12-07 08:48:31

Thanks for this strat - I made it work with a P/S Adder in place of the Temple Snake. The three pounces didn't kill Snozz, but the hunting party + poison fang did.

Ruta wrote on 2018-01-29 07:39:24

Did you read this: "Your first Beast cannot have more than 1796 health. Both your Zandalaris need 282+ speed and your Anklerender needs to have less Health than your Footslasher."? This strategy works perfectly each time. Pass | Exposed Wounds | Primal Cry | Hunting Party | Black Claw | Hunting Party - simplicity itself.

Amlu wrote on 2017-09-25 10:57:34

To the specifics of breeds, since the only requirement is to have base speed > 282 on both raptors, and Footslasher has greater health, about the best combination I can see is a P/B Footslasher and a P/S Anklerender. And then just about any beast that is not H/H will do in the first slot.

I didnt have the right speed znadalari pets so i used

random beast
P/B zandalari toenibbler 122
P/B zandalari kneebiter 221

(they both have speed 289 but toenibbler has more HP so comes in first)

pass
toenibbler comes in
bite
primal cry
black claw
footslasher comes in
hunting party
end

tried it about 8times with success on each attempt, i guess it has the chance there could be a crit on every flank (yay rng) and you'd have to restart the fight

You are my hero! This worked great!

Eekwibble wrote on 2017-09-14 11:03:56

This is rng dependent if you don't have the exact breeds.

With H/P, P/S or P/B breeds in slots 2 and 3, you require Snozz to hit 3 times with Flank at least once on round 3 or 5.

For those without an H/H, this will work with an H/S, H/P or H/B breed in 1st slot but requires that Snozz only hits twice on the last round, so, a little more rng dependent for those breeds.

For almost guaranteed first-time results, you want H/H breed in slot 1 and P/P breeds (Twilight Spider/Widow Spider) in the other 2 for the added damage Brittle Webbing causes Snozz to do to himself. With P/P's, even if Snozz only hits twice with Flank on both rounds 3 and 5, it will cause itself enough damage for the strat to hold up.

Nice strat, though, Eire. Good job.

Ivik wrote on 2017-09-16 17:56:05

Doesn't work for me. Snozz lives with ~59 hp.

Vagabond wrote on 2017-09-18 16:43:20

Whew! Thank you.

Agathon wrote on 2017-09-18 23:33:28

This worked great with the breeds listed. I had H/H, H/S, H/P and got it in one go.

PositiveRoleModel wrote on 2017-09-18 23:39:29

Thank you Eire and Eekwibble. This strat worked very well. Was able to defeat the pesky critter on the first try of this strat.

Ruana wrote on 2017-11-02 20:23:03

Worked well with an H/H Venomspite Hatching, H/P Smolderweb Hatchling, and H/B Leyline Broodling!

Blue wrote on 2017-10-19 17:30:58

worked great beast?, footslasher, anklerender, TY

Xna - Doomhammer wrote on 2017-09-18 09:10:30

Had to resort to a mixed strat, building on others comments. Thanks guys. Tried this 3 times in a row and worked each time.
Used Scalded Basilisk hatchling 122 1465hp, Spider 122 1319hp and Crystaline Broodling 122 1562hp.

Feign Death. Broodling comes in.
Brittle webbing and swarm.
Scalded Basilisk comes back in.
Screech, Bite, Screech.
Spider comes in.
Brittle webbing and swarm.

Snoz died on two goes here. Had to use strike to finish him on another.
Feign death is good coz it saves a hit at start. Not sure how it works with lower hp's.

Emsarrev wrote on 2017-09-18 11:39:17

Got it to work on first try, however I think there's some RNG involved with getting the reflect damage to be enough to finish him.
Any Spider with Brittle Webbing and Spiderling Swarm should work. My Basilisk was 1/2/2 H/S, Ash Spiderling x/2/2 H/S and Dusk Spiderling x/2/2 S/B.

Vahl wrote on 2017-09-18 12:18:40

This is the start that worked. Had to finish with Strike as well to win.

Anonymous wrote on 2017-10-01 08:12:34

This worked. Needed a strike at the end as well.

Mnejing wrote on 2017-09-18 22:32:37

P/P Footslasher and S/S Anklerender works just fine with this strat.

Dubhglas wrote on 2017-09-18 13:10:24

Footslasher wasn't leveled for some reason, so I just replaced with Toenibbler (1-2-1). Used Direhorn Runt in the first slot, then when Toenibbler came out I used bloodfang, primal cry and bite until Anklerender came in and just used the standard tactic. Both Zandalari's were 289 speed P breeds.

Yewfire wrote on 2017-09-15 22:40:10

Worked first time. Thanks!

Shaelai wrote on 2017-09-07 22:22:28

Scalded Basilisk (122), Giraffe Calf (1xx), Zandalari Anklerender (2x2)

Scalded Basilisk: Feign Death
Giraffe Calf: Stampede
Scalded Basilisk: Screech, Bite, Screech
Zandalari Anklerender: Black Claw, Hunting Party

This worked first time for me. Thanks.

VonSnootingham wrote on 2017-09-08 19:44:52

Both my Anklerender and Footslasher only had 276 speed and 1237 health, so I struggled with this for a while due to not being able outspeed Snozz. What I did was put the Anklerender out first, and a Fjord Worg Pup second, so that it gets switched in on turn 2 so it could use Dazzling Dance (+25% speed for your whole team for 9 turns). Then I attacked with it until it was killed and the Anklerender was switched in. THEN I used Primal Cry, and then just used Hunting Party until he died, then the Footslasher Hunting Party'd until Snozz went down.

Rayvynn wrote on 2017-09-10 06:20:45

Worked perfectly for me. Thank you

ttk wrote on 2017-09-11 13:38:01

This worked for me, Thank you!!

Ven wrote on 2017-09-10 20:17:07

I used an S/S Footslasher and a P/S Anklerender, both with identical health of 1237. Worked fine!

EyeSage wrote on 2017-09-08 18:19:24

I didn't have a lvl 25 zand footslasher so Gundrak Hatchling worked, using bite instead of Hunting Party.

Riowen wrote on 2017-09-09 12:01:24

Same but I used Obsidian Hatchling (1/2/2)

Lilianne wrote on 2017-09-07 09:24:00

This did not work with Black Claw in turn 5. Skipping right to Hunting Party worked for me,

Rilla wrote on 2017-09-08 04:01:04

Same with me - i have 276 speed Anklerender, but if i skip step 5 Snozz died

Holli wrote on 2017-09-09 10:58:30

Yes, this was the key for me - all other strats did not work.

Uldorath wrote on 2017-09-08 08:36:35

My Anklerender had more HP than my Footslasher, so I lowered the Anklerender's HP by letting it take the bosses first attack, restarted the fight without healing and did as the guide said. Worked perfectly!

Melandroso wrote on 2017-09-07 16:09:20

Beautiful! Used a Kneebiter instead of Anklerender for the speed and it was fine!

Crazybish wrote on 2017-09-06 18:32:26

I used Zandalarai Kneebiter 2-2-1 and the other two pets as above, although my anklerender had more health than my footslasher. Passed first turn, and it brought in my Anklerender. Black Claw, Primal Cry, then Hunting Party. Killed my anklrender and brought in my footslasher. Hunting party again, and Snozz was dead.

Anonymous wrote on 2017-09-06 21:16:28

Yes, this worked well!

Sella wrote on 2017-09-06 04:28:23

I didnt have a Footslasher with enough speed so I brought a Leaping Hatchling (2,2,2) instead. Just use Screech in place of Primal Cry and Flank in place of Hunting party. Worked first try.
