Note: You have selected a substitute pet.
The strategy might fail if you use it with this pet instead of the one the strategy creator intended.

The substitute finder looks for these criteria in relation to the original pet:
  • Same family
  • Has the required skills
  • Has the required stats (if specified)
  • Ignores specific breed requirements for the main pet, as breeds can be very different for substitutes

I was having some trouble with two other strategies on this fight. Yes, they succeeded in bringing down the Bloated Leper Rat; however, both times the first two pets died, necessitating bringing in the third pet, who, of course, died when the Bloated Leper Rat died.

So, running out of options, I came up with this tried and true, if somewhat overused cheese method. It worked and both Ikky and Unborn Val'kyr survived.

Turn 1
Start with Unborn Val'kyr. Use Curse of Doom.

I was just going through Gnomer today to try out strats I hadn't used, and looked at this one.

Boss killed my Ikky in three Infected Claws, doing 319, 455, 451, and that was the end of my Ikky before killing the boss. Being of a suspicious nature, rather than a random, I had brought in an S/S Mouse with Flurry and Survival as my third, and found that Survival does indeed protect from the boss's "I'm taking you with me!" debuff.

Accomplished mine with my 3rd pet being the Perky Pug :) The healing ability allowed me to keep him alive for a long time, that plus the burrow

A great strategy is to use apocalypse with a beetle or radroach, and then have some pets that can survive long, like a ruby droplet or dream welpling.

This is the first fight I had that gave me trouble. Forgot that Ikky was at around 60% health from earlier fight so couldn't even get a stampede off, then blew through like 3 more teams before finally giving up. Especially after killing the darn thing and having it kill my last pet and not getting credit. Anyway, I tried again later with a full health Ikky and this strat is great that way xD I'd recommend in your last slot putting another pet with stampede just in case

"Cheese" method of unborn/ikky didn't work, he always crits ikky who cannot finish the flock. However, when third pet came in and killed rat, the rat died and so did my third pet, but it still gave me the win?! So not sure if this was hotfixed or what, perhaps someone else can comment.

The strat as written above worked for me. Ikky didn't get hit with a crit, and just barely finished the fight. The third pet would have been able to finished off the rat had anything gone wrong, though.

Both The Valk and Foulfeather died, but they still killed the Rat; letting my 3rd untouched pet win.

Has anyone tested Lava Crab (or any other pet with Survival) to see if Survival can beat the 'Fatal Damage'? My Ikky gets crit on either the first or second attack and never does a second sweep of Flock, meaning it dies before dealing death damage to the rat.
