Low XP
Breed
At least one of the pets for this strategy require the use of a specific breed.
Not every strategy can be bullet proof. This is one of them. You might have to restart it, since there are some random elements that increase the risk of your pets failing. Don't blame them, please!
This strategy is using pets obtainable from the Wow Trading Card Game (TCG) or the auction house for potentially high sums of gold.
This strategy is using pets obtainable only from the WoW In-Game Shop for Battle.net Balance or real money.
You can use this strategy to carry a low level pet to give it experience.
Some instructions are more difficult to follow than others. That's exactly what you might find in this strategy!
Script
The strategy offers a Script that can be used with the Pet Battle Script addon. You can copy the script by clicking on the button to the left of the pets.
At least one pet in the strategy cannot be obtained anymore. If you have it, congrats!

On the second pet, you should specifically dive on round nine to avoid Bloat's second Antean Cannon.

Navarth wrote on 2017-11-20 04:31:57

S/S Kuitan Mongoose soloed this for me. Dive followed by 4 Gnaws, then survival, gnaw, dive and finish it off after the cannon (There were no crits from Bloat)

Solo this with the Mongoose (P/S)

I got Bloat down to 25 health with the S/S Mongoose doing what Navarth wrote. Just swapped in a critter with speed +293 and finished with a single normal hit.

did this easily with jungle darter (1 1 2) , gulp froglet 1 2 2 and ghost shell crab,

open with jungle and let him take the hit to the face

bring in gulp froglet, water jet, toxic skin , water jet x 2 , then corpse explosion

bring in ghostshell crab, bubble, and hten spirit claws to victory, no rng involved

This worked at first try!
I just have to say that you do not need jungle darter :P It can be any aquatic pet in first slot.

Teil wrote on 2017-09-07 19:03:29

Was struggling with having no fast quatics, but found slower Mirror Strider (2-X-X) Kelp Scuttler (1-1-1) and Puddle Terror (1-2-1) worked. Poison Spit, Rip, Dive, Rip, Rip, Swap to Puddle Terror, Dive, Water Jet

really good strat, puddle terror is 1-2-2 for dive

Zarria wrote on 2017-11-15 16:45:12

Mirror strider and Kelp are really good choice if struggling with fast speed pets. Thanks!

PROFESSORLABCOAT wrote on 2017-08-31 21:46:24

I posted in the Elemental section about how good Bubble is against this boss, and the same strategy works here. I used a sacrificial pet in the first slot with Gulp Froglet (1/2/2) and Benax (1/2/1). Turn 1 let my pet die to the cannon, sent in the Gulp Froglet and used Toxic Skin, then Water Jet until 3 turns of Antaen Cannon's cooldown, then Corpse Explosion. Benax uses Swarm of Flies, then Bubble, then Water Jet until the fight is over. Should be an RNG-free fight every time I think?

Jess wrote on 2017-09-01 15:14:16

Thanks - it worked first time. I did bring in the Leopard Tree Frog first to cast Swarm of Flies before dying just in case, but it probably wasn't necessary.

Tsyah wrote on 2017-09-04 20:17:54

Helpful combo - thank you. Just wanted to add Ghostshell Crab as an option in the group. Spirit Claws + Bubble is effective.

Gary wrote on 2017-09-15 05:38:44

Hi, I used Mirror Strider (Ninja, 374 Speed ) in slot 1; this allowed me to open with Cleansing Rain (gives Aquatic abilities a +25% dmg and a minor HoT) which made the fight a little quicker and felt a lot safer. Thanks for your strat!

Never make assumptions. I was trying to work out my own team for Bloat with the assumption that none of my pets were faster than him (as has been true of all the other Argus pets I've battled). After losing to him with several teams of my own making, I was totally frustrated. Came to my trusted site, Xu-Fu, and, lo and behold!! Bloat isn't the speed demon I "assumed" he was. I had never bothered to check his speed while my other teams were up. Duh!! I didn't even have to bring in my Mongoose.

Great strategy, this! Thanks going out to Lazey (again) and to Xu-Fu (as always).

Worked fine as long as your Otter is a SS.

Rzzr wrote on 2017-09-25 15:08:59

You need a high speed pet to start because if it doesn't go first it will be one shot. Screech will lower Bloats speed so second pet not so important. I used a Golden Civet Kitten as first pet as it had the same abilities but was faster.

Aeliel wrote on 2017-09-16 06:37:13

Aha! My collection of Golden Civets finally comes in handy!

I had two S/S ones, so I didn't need to Screech on turn 7, just Gnaw. Didn't need the third.

Geki wrote on 2017-09-17 00:17:54

For sure, man. I love these guys, they're so cute. But I don't think I've used them for a battle since the master tamer in Dread Wastes. Nice to see them in battle again.

Alleryia wrote on 2017-09-04 17:48:23

If you have a speed breed slithershock elver, it can solo this fight with Dive, Dodge, and Deep Bite.

Rakenessa wrote on 2017-09-05 12:20:16

Um what? (explain pls - mine can't solo this fight)

Eekwibble wrote on 2017-09-15 11:10:56

I SOOOO wanted this to be true but, unfortunately, without a couple of Deep Bite crits, or at least a strong Dive crit, the math just isn't there.
It can however, get a damn long way, leaving the battle having covered itself in glory and with Bloat on <300hp.
It's RNG as to whether it makes it that far, with just under 40% chance of Diseased Bite hitting too hard, and if you get any crits at all, you need to reset, but, that's not actually as bad as it sounds because you only get hit 4 times in total; twice from Plagued Blood and twice from Diseased Bite.
I can explain the math but not unless some asks. This post has waffled enough as it is.

S/S Slithershock Elver
Any lvl25 Elemental pet with >291sp
Any Elemental pet

Turns 1&2. Dive
3&4. Deep Bite
5. Dodge
6. Deep Bite
7&8. Deep Bite (you need the total damage taken from Diseased Bite on these 2 rounds to be <810)
9&10. Dive
11&12 Deep Bite
13. Dodge
14. Deep Bite
15&16. Dive

Unfortunately for your next pet, it's coming in to a face-full of Antaen Cannon so it needs to be another fast one.
Honourable mentions go to;
Speedy - Headbutt > Bite (if necessary and if Headbutt stunned)
Tiny Green Carp - Invisibility > Water Jet x2 > Surge
Mongoose/Pup (or S/S otter/civet as per main strat) - Survival/Dive > Gnaw
S/S Coralback Fiddler - Dive > Claw
Or, just to be silly; another S/S Slithershock Elver......

Xna - Doomhammer wrote on 2017-09-16 06:23:23

I think you mean aquatic not elemental

Shunai wrote on 2017-09-05 22:57:14

The skills for the Mongoose should be 2-1-2 like the others

solitha wrote on 2017-08-30 00:27:37

I'm not sure Screech is necessary if all three have 292+ speed, which is quite possible in this pet type.

Lilianne wrote on 2017-09-03 01:56:51

It was more efficient to just gnaw away.
